TravisO
The $29 player Walmart is pushing nowadays Watching videos on the computer is WAY too nerdy for me, I'll take the comfortable laid back scenario of my sofa anyday. Not to mention my 25" TV looks more appealing than a 19" monitor (ok I know, the monitor is highly quality, blah blah). Plus I'd rather spill a bear on the sofa than on my keyboard. ripken204
do what i do, i am using my computer and i am using my svideo output on my vid card which then goes into an svideo to rca converter which then plugs into my vcr which then plugs into my tv. this allows me to watch a movie on my tv and i play the sound off of my sterio speakers which are also my comp speakers. bobbert
VLC is awesome but its UI is bad, you have very little control during play (with 8.0.2 when in full screen you have no access to basic playback options *scratch* unless there's some I dont know about?). As far as being able to run all types of files... - VLC is King.MPC and MP 10 are both rad too. Their UI's are decent too, especially MP 10.PowerDVD is ok. Its nothing special.Another is BSPlayer which is pretty cool and allows for screen caps. 1. MP 102. VLC3. MPC4. BSPlayer5. PowerDVD6. ZoomPlayer and all those others
