Replacement for this Motherboard

I just recieved the following

Pentium D 820 (2.8)

Intel D945Psn Motherboard

I got these at a discount because i work for a retailer that sells Intel products........Anyways i really dont care for Intel Motherboards ......This will be the 5th machine i have built .......I am guessing that i wanna replace it with another 945 chipset motherboard .......Do you guys have any suggestions .....I am pretty smart with computers ......probably 85% of people i know more then them......but hardware still is a hard subject for me

Anyways i am thinking about an Asus board .......Below is the link to my motherboard .....and the one i am thinking about switching it for

Thanks for any opinions.....After cooking the processor to 400 degrees on my 3rd build..... I am thinking of Replacing the stock Heatsink with this heatsink

It strictly depends on what your intentions are for this system.

Provided you're not using it for anything intensive(rendering, video editing, gaming, etc), the Intel board will more than suffice and anything else will be a waste of money.

As far as the heatsink is concerned, I believe you'd do better with either Swiftech or Scythe's Ninja.

Thermaltake hasn't really produced a decent product since... well... ever.

You obviously haven't read what he posted. He doesn't want an Intel motherboard. And throwing a dual core processor on an Intel motherboard is in itself a waste. Intel boards, as stable as they are, are not performance motherboards. Also, the thermaltake heatsink he picked is a fine heatsink.

@phillyman2004: You made some great choices, I'd go for it. Just make sure you check to be sure that the heatsink clears the capacitors on the motherboard.
