Silence of the foxes updated

Is it me or does anyone else have problems getting this to work as an add-on for nlite.

I make the install fine, and it works silently just by running the file created by SOF.

But if I make a cab and run it that way none of my personalizations install. just a default version of FF and TB.

Hi there !

Ive created my own Extension with CCK:

http://www.mozilla.org/projects/cck/firefox/

It works...Ive tested the XPI.

Now I try to integrate the XPI with SOF into a setup File...

ive copied bookmarks and prefs.js into profile and Ive copied my XPI into extensions

within the project directory of SOF.

Than I hit the pack button and the setup was created...

but when I run the setup the appears an error message:

"Chrome Registrierung fehlgeschlagen - Firefox konnte dieses Objekt auf Grund eines Fehlers

in der Chrome Registrierung nicht installieren"

(Chrome Registry failed - FF couldnt install this object because of an error in the chrome registry)

Please Contact the Author ;)

Here I am :D

I hope someone could help me

Your extension isnt compatible to install via commandline. There are a lotf extensions that have this problem.Your best solution is, dont add that extension to your project and install afterwards, or copy your whole profile directory to your project directory.

Hmm ?

But you wrote that xpi's setup should be used...not the installed Extension.

Should I copy the whole profile directory to sof/project/firefox/profile ?

Does anybody know this ?

or that

I try to create a Firefox with my Company CI...

it should have settings, bookmarks, extensions, searchengines and a button to the companies homepage.

Is it possible to make my XPI compatible ?

Thanks for your tool and the quick answer !!!

Hi there. Thanks for creating this program. It's really useful for me. It does seem to work with Firefox 2 Ok and the latest Thunderbird but didn't seem to install all my extensions. However, conflict or not it's no real problem since Mozbackup takes care of that task for me. What I would appreciate though is if it helped compile a silent install of Filezilla Server. Would this be possible at all?

Actually SoF does not copy the profile files (bookmarks.html, prefs.js etc) to the correct folder in SoF, So it just installs a default profile which is alright if you're not bothered with a custom profile, As SoF is now i have to move my custom profile files to the correct folder for it too work properly, Unless somebody can tell me how to change the path where my profile folder files are copied too in SoF, Thank You
