markmono
Is there a generic x64 sound driver. I just have a plain old soundcard which i cant find x64 drivers for and i was wondering if there are generic drivers available. The drivers which are being used with normal XP are "Creative AudioPCI (ES1370), SB PCI 64/128 (WDM)" which is an old SB card and the current x64 pack isn't supported by it. So anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance
getwired
Unlike video, there is no "universal" driver for audio cards at the present time. You need to either find drivers for that card, or use a card with X64 drivers available.
cluberti
That card isn't technically supported under Windows x64, but the generic Soundblaster 64 driver may (or may not) work - I've seen both. The card you speak of was designed for Windows 98 - so don't be surprised if it doesn't.There are no native drivers for it, and you can bet that they won't be forthcoming from Creative.
