Nesta
I have a dual boot system that has a Windows PE build that is loaded on to the same drive as Windows XP SP2. Both are on the same partition. The Windows PE files are in C:\minint. 1) Is there a way for me to change the location of that directory? I no not want the minint folder on the root of C. I want to use C:\WindowsPE\minint instead. When I try this Windows PE does not boot. Here is the content of my boot.ini:[boot loader]timeout=0default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetectC:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdconsC:\CMDCONS\BOOTSECT.DAT="Windows PE"2) When I've booted into Windows PE, is there a way to determine whether the laptop is running on battery or AC power? Is there perhaps a simple VB script that can determine this within PE?Thanks!
Takeshi
Q1. Looking at your boot.ini, you're either booting WinPE or RC but not both, depending on the version of txtsetup.sif.By design, C:\WindowsPE\minint won't work. cmldr looks for minint and not WindowsPE\minint. I don't know if modifying it would work. Why not try it?Q2. Isn't it when it's connected to the mains it always uses mains power?
