Problems Unicows.dll

The problem is these programs do not disply correctly. Mainly words and sentences are blank except for the first letter.

Adobe Reader 6.04

Emule

.net framework installer

I think the only thing all these programs have in common is they use unicows.dll. They all work fine with the exception of the .net framework installer. Also errors in dependency walker always involve Kernel32.dll and User32.dll.

I have placed unicows.dll and unicows.pdb in the system folder as well as the indivual program folders.

Installed the unicode fonts from office 2000.

Used regsrv32.exe on all relevant files although I often get an error:

"...(file) was loaded but the DllRegistryServer entry point was not found.

DllRegistryServer may not be exported, or a corrupt version of (file) may be in memory. Consider using Pview to detect and remove it."

Using dependency walker I made sure all the relevant files are up to date.

Here is an example of the profile from dependency walker during the install of .net framework

The only thing I can think of is that Rev. Pack v3.0 is causing this but I hope not.

Specs:

Win 98se

98se sp2.1a

Rev. Pack v3.0

Thanks

If I were you I'd ditch adobe, the memory hog, and use this: online viewer

If you dont want to download the pdf you can right-click properties on the download link and paste the address in the viewer, it will download the file itself and process it for you.

Work like a charm.
