Aaron Posted June 9, 2003 Author Share Posted June 9, 2003 I wonder how the hell will i put the McAfee CD instalation files into the XP Cd There's about 150-170 MB of free space on the XP CD if you use 700mb CDs, You can increase this by removing the Support and Docs folders in the root.You might be able to get the McAfee files off the CD and put it on your XP CD, might be in a folder called Setup and its probably all you will need. I chose to do my hotfix installs during the GUI install using the CMDLINES.TXT file. However, I'm having trouble w/ some of the switches. According to M$, the availabe switches are listed here: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=262841I am specifically having trouble w/ the /M and /Z switches. They don't seem to be valid on any of the hotfixes I have. Only /Q works. Sunil Posted June 27, 2003 Share Posted June 27, 2003 I have just completed my own windows xp super cd, it took a while as was pointed out by arronxp, but it paid off. The cd installs a number of apps, including windows media player 9 series, all patches to this month, keiro personal firewall, and others.The cd is totally automated except that you need to put it into the tray and run setup , one amazing feat that i overcame was the installation of winrar, which has to my knowledge no installation switches.
