Aegis
The latest version of Windows Desktop Search (WDS) is optimized with features that help the enterprise IT manager easily customize, deploy and manage the installation of desktop search across all users and computers in their organization.Download: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/desktopse...se/default.mspx

suryad
I have always been curious.....where do they get those people to show up on their advertisements.....some of them are kind of funny. But this technology reminds me a lot of what Google and Apple offer doesnt it? Edited November 22, 2005 by suryad

But this technology reminds me a lot of what Google and Apple offer doesnt it?From what I've heard, WDS is faster than any of the offerings from Apple or Google. WDS is also tightly integrated with Windows Explorer, which is an advantage and disadvantage. Those of us who don't use the Explorer shell will find it a major annoyance. I personally prefer if they would just create a separate search application instead of opening an Explorer window.
