Cykasm
Hey guys,I've had my unattended windows dvd working for a fair while and i update it on fairly regular occasions.I used the method given in Pure Kromes tutorial.http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=10877&hl=In this tutorial he had a cmd/bat (I'm pretty sure it was a cmd file) file that enabled you to create an iso from a specified directory.eg: C:\Install Which would then put the completed Bootable iso in C:\Recently i lost a hdd which happened to have my xpdvd stuff on it. I still have copies of my xp dvd but was just wondering if anyone happened to have or know how to make that cmd/bat file again?I tried the link on the old post, but its nearly 3 years old and the link is dead Im using an altered version of boot.bin and nlite doesnt like the way i've put the dvd together.Any help would be appreciated.Cyk

Cykasm
With that version i it cant find the NTLDR when it tries to boot.Anyone know how i can make a boot.img file that that program needs?I've got a working version of my dvd that boots. It uses a custom xpboot.bin.Anyway i can use the .bin file to convert it to a .img? Shark007
I realize you want to use your modified bootfile.I'm surprised that you cant use the GUIand point the program to your modded file.Click the Configuration button on the left, then click the Boot tab on the top, and you'll recieve this screen.....[insert picture here].....Change the path in the box to point to.... your modded bootfile. If all this fails.. i suggest you give up on the modded bootfile and use boot.img provided in that guide.shark
Cykasm
Yeah i did try the boot.img supplied with that file.Still brought up the ntldr error. What i might do is read up a bit more on the cdimage.exe file and see if there is a tag that i need to make it read .bin files.I noticed another example from somebody else that they were using a .dat file there. (Not in the gui based one.)Thanks for putting me in the right direction Shark I will try putting my xpboot.bin in that thing again. See if i can reproduce that error that it gave me.EDIT: I got the boot part working by going into cdimage -help and using the command line to make my iso. Will stick it in a bat file later. Thanks for your time Shark. I really appreciate it. Edited November 17, 2005 by Cykasm
Shark007
one other point concerning ...Still brought up the ntldr error. This error can occur if there is a corrupt file within the source files. The easiest way to eliminate this possibility is to copy the source filesto a different location (diff hdd preferable), and recreate the image from there.shark
