FAQ | Why doesn't my monitor get installed?

Hi,

WHERE IS THE MONITOR PLEASE ? Sorry for my bad english.

I read lot of topics on this forum, but NONE has the same problem as me :

After installed windows (sp1), I -can't- install my monitor driver, even if I check or uncheck

the monitors drivers integration (yes, I burned two CD to try these two ways).

I also tried with another windows version (basic xp without sp), same problem.

Then I tried these 3 "n-lited" burned cd's to install it to another PC, same problem.

I tried to install my monitor driver manually, dont works.

I right-clicked on desktop, properties, settings, advanced, monitor tab, and...

the button properties (for monitor) is not accessible!

I also tried in the control panel, system icon, hardware, device manager, and

I can read in this "tree" : graphic card, sound card, network, processor, etc

but.. the Monitor category is not listed.

Anyone have an idea ? Thank you very much.

If you only need support for YOUR monitor, you could do this:

-remove the 'Plug and Play Monitor'-driver with nLite;

-add your own monitor driver using the OemPnPDriversPath method or any other method.

Et voila, ça marche!
