DaMentalOne
Hi,Im new to this Unattended install thing, and I was wondering how I would add a new Admin user with a long password ( >= 14 chars) without having to confirm that I want to use it (As the "net user" method requires.Any help on this one guys? Thanks in advance! cluberti
Not entirely sure - I think the net user command has a limitation of 14 characters without prompting. I've been able to use it in a domain environment (/DOMAIN) without a prompt, but not locally.
DaMentalOne
Thanks for that.I already know that the Net User needs confirmation for passwords over 14 chars, so I was hoping someone here would be able to point me in the right direction to overcome this.Would it be possible with vbscript? and if so, where would I call the script from? tguy
Yes you can set the 'Administrator' password to over 14 chars. with vbScript. I use it to add accounts all the time.I call my scripts from the Runonceex.cmd file. Give it a try. There are plenty of script samples on the MS Technet site on how to add accounts locally. Good luck.
