breadandbubbles
is there a way to capture streaming video, such as this quicktime video:http://194.29.64.17/thecog/movie.html???
markajm
there are a lot of progs out there to capture streaming media (don't ask me what they are, i don't use any). have a look in google. i'm guessing there may be some freeware ones around. But it all depends on the exact format. the example above is not really streaming video, like an online tv station, where you just hook into the stream at whatever time it is up to. For many video clips, you can just view the source of the page and work out the url to the video file. type that directly in and it will just download (or if it keeps wanting to play you may have to disable the plugin in your browser or paste the link into a download manager).for your example above, you can just right click it and choose save (i can, using the quicktime 7 player/plugin) Edited October 21, 2005 by markajm
