jca2004
I cant find a patch or fix for that stupid NT Authority\System Shutdown with the 60 sec. timer for W2k3. I downloaded microsofts and norton symantec programs to get rid of the blaster worm, but it says no virus/worm detected. So what should i do to get rid of it? Chozo4
For the time being, whenever you get that error, go to your start menu >> run and type "shutdown -a" to stop the timer. Also, you can optionally go into your services through administration tools. Look for remote procedure call and open it. Look for where it says along the lines of '1st failure - shutdown computer' and change to 'restart service' on all 3 instances. If it fails it will restart the service instead but at a cost of losing some drag-drop functions when working with directories after a failure. However, it will buy you time to find out what is wrong and take care of it.edit: erm... reread and noticed you said win 2k3. DOH! I'm sure the method I stated still stands for that... i hope.
