prathapml
For those of you who might want to install uTorrent unattended, here's where it stores its settings:C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\uTorrentYou just need to put it in the programfiles folder. Then place a shortcut to it in StartMenu. Also, set it up to check for association with *.torrent, upon first run.
DigeratiPrime
Check this outhttp://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?t=82Q. Where does µTorrent save my settings?By default, µTorrent stores your settings and resume data inside a subdirectory of your user profile's Application Data folder. Typically this will be something like "C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Application Data\uTorrent" on NT based systems. However, if µTorrent finds a file named "settings.dat" in its own folder (the same one where the utorrent executable is located), it will use this folder to store settings. This can be very useful for using µTorrent from USB pen drives, floppies or other such removable storage devices. Aviator747
So we could probally just place µTorrent and a settings.dat file and stick it into our system32 folder for a unattended install. Then just add a torrent asociation in a batch file.I switched from Bit Tornado to µTorrent.P.S. sorry for the edit, I was adding not removing. prathapml
Nice.... So now its growing! Went from 78 KB to 92 KB now. (in the context that one of its big attractions is its under 100 KB & is looking like breaking that barrier)
DigeratiPrime
the size increase is probably due to just GUI 'enhancements' such as the icons. As long as uTorrent stays freeware, spyware/adware free, stays a single exe, and is less than 1mb its going to be running circles around the other BT clients. Zxian
Thanks for the update! And as for the size increase... the only people who should really complain are the ones on 14.4kbps modems... and they probably wouldn't use BitTorrent anyways...
