MeanGene Posted September 21, 2005 Share Posted September 21, 2005 I have a silent install of Office 2003 MVL and as a final touch I would like to remove the Product Activation button on the toolbar. Yes, I have looked through the ORK and TechNet and found no infomation on how to do this. If this needs to be kept secret for some reason, please email me. The reason for removing the button for activation is because it doesn't do anything but tell the user that their product is already activated which may cause calls to the Helpdesk. eluSive_NZ Posted September 23, 2005 Share Posted September 23, 2005 Ive just figured out away for you.If you use the "Re-arrange Commands" option under Tools/Customize.You can go to the Help menu or any other menu and remove or add menu items. If you remove this Activate product it saves changes in Normal.dot I guess you can then Unattend Normal.dot to copy to the users Document and Settings\USER\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\Normal.dotHope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
