Aegis
The 22MB is just the very minimal. When I add in DirectX and networking support, as well as frequently used game files, then the size will skyrocket. You still have a chance, gdogg! The community needs you .And the reason why I chose to do this; I'm getting a new computer for Christmas and I want to ensure I get the best bang for the bucks . Foxit PDF Reader [ http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php ]its an alternative to Adobe Acrobat reader.. and its small.. only 2mb when extracted.. working great..and its pretty fast Edited December 6, 2005 by vampiriq

Desdicado
If i install microwinx on a laptop what kind of battery support programs would i need for it since xp battery support is removed or do i just leave it in there?
gdogg
I think battery support, is in windows xp, no matter whatyou'll just lose the meter telling you how much is left, from what I can see.
vci
but is there still an accurate prediction in hours and minutes?i guess there would be a nice difference in battery-life when comparing normal-windows with microwinx ...@vampiriqI already tested foxit:Foxit:comdlg32.dll, comctl32.dll, winspool.drv, oledlg.dll, olepro32.dllworks Edited December 6, 2005 by vci
z0mbi3
So... Do I really have to do a 2nd Partion to make this work or can I just it and run it like a Regular windows OS? ALSO this has Internet Access right?
gdogg
inet access yes, 2nd partition yes, if you want 57MB, if not, you can use a method to be released in beta 2.5which will allow it to work on a single partition, with a few extra MB'sthis method, which many will enjoy, is thanks to digitalfrost , he has been a great help, and I wish I could of kept up with the project, like I was. gdogg
and I wish I could of kept of with the project, like I was.I don't understand what you mean here?well at first I was making what is now microwinX for myselfspend about 2-3 month on perfecting it for me.then I thought it would be cool for others to get to use it.there has been 3 betas so far, 1 1.5 and 2.2.5 will be far better, 2 is good enought too.but its no where near where I wanted to be by this time. I hope to get back on track on with this project, once I am on a new computer, after all the things in life I have going on right now.personally I think beta 2.5 , around jan-febwith beta 3 (public) shortly after, like march.
