LCD tv resolution

@hakeem5454 - Can you check the website of the company that made the TV? Maybe they have a driver for the monitor itself, and right now Windows is running it on the default drivers (which might limit you to 800x600).

@matt5104 - No worries copying and pasting. It's funny how many people think that by clicking randomly, their computer will go back to "normal"... :P

ok forget all this i just bought a ati card and im still having this problem.

what is the problem now?

it still changes the resolution by itself.

@zxian - theres no drivers on the site for the tv..its a prima tv.

and i think ive had it for a year so they wont give me technical support.

Ok, if you've got an ATi card, then I think this should make it easier. :)

Right-click on the desktop and select Properties. Under the Settings tab, click Advanced. Under Displays, you should see your TV. You can find all the settings related to your display there. If I remember correctly, there's an option to offset the display left/right. Try playing with that.

ok i applied the changes and it doesnt let me use the buttons for making the screen bigger vertically and horizontally.

Do you think you could post a screenshot? A picture is worth a thousand words. :)
