Zxian
Yeah... but when you start up your comptuer, are all your programs up and running already? Hibernation can do that for you ... And there aren't any 10K raptors for laptops either...
ripken204
ya hibernation is great. when my comp start up on a normal boot, once im log in it takes about 5 secs until im actually able to open a program/folder and that is very fast, and thats on a 5400rpm hdd! therefore i dont really need to use it but i still do. dale5605
Well grafx your computer isn't really the fastest. To speed up your boot make sure "quick-boot" is enabled in BIOS. Also check if there is an option for HDD delay and make that 0 seconds. And if there is an option for full-screen logo make sure that is on disabled. Also disable anything your aren't using in BIOS. Examples include firewire, IDE channel 1, SATA channels, serial/parallel ports, etc.
Gee
Thanks..., i'm waiting for it But, is hibernation has any drawback as i have 256 MB of ram only ?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I would invest in another 256 Meg RAM. XP runs slow with that amount of RAM.
