Bâshrat the Sneaky
I've heard www.servermatrix.com has an excellent datacenter. (For you smarties, NO, this is NOT the datacenter for BTSunattended.net )

DeepXP
Actually there are many companies around...The best ones according to me are Theplanet serverstheir sites arehttp://www.theplanet.com - high end servershttp://www.servermatrix.com - medium range servers (I have 2 servers with them....pretty good service)http://www.ev1servers.net - We had one server there but then switched to the planet, because I didnt like the support much (was not as quick as theplanet guys) + the servers was not that much good (we had p4 machine with 1 IP)http://www.rackspace.com - The company I used to work for have server with them, to be frank they are way too costly...we pay around $650 a month for AMD machine with 150 gig of bandwidh a month and one hardware firewall...so you can imagine how much costly it is compared to other sitesThere are other sites also like www.verio.com www.pair.com www.serverbeach.comBut I have not tried them so I wont be able to comment on their service...Deep
XPerties
Matrix,Keep in mind companies like The Plante/Server Matrix do not provide any support for the servers. They are unmanaged servers which is why many people will purchase servers form a sub-company such as myself to manage and setup the server. Also which was not noted The Planet Owns Server Matrix. I would highly avoid ev1servers.net. They have a tendency to unplug the wrong server and format it.Mind me asking why you are looking at a dedicated server? DeepXP
@ XPerties,Servermatrix and Theplanet both provide support on the servers, yes I agree that they wont install any software for you at free (unless you buy thier gold or higher support package...which has some free support hours every month) but if something is not working in the system or you need some help then they definitely helps you...If the software installatin is needed then I think they charge $75 per hour or something (I am not sure about the exact rate)RegardsDeep
XPerties
Deep,They do not provide what a normal person would consider "Support for a Dedicated Server".The "once in awhile" issues, yes of course they will but the daily management of a server and the time it takes to manage a server properly, they do not provide. Companies such as rackspace.com (as you pointed out) do however provide full server management. This is why the prices are extremely higher than your normal DC's.Regardless I'm still interested in knowing why matrix is looking for a dedicated server, if he wouldn't mind sharing. DeepXP
Hi,No rackspace is also same They charge 150$ per hour to install anything...We had to pay around 200$ just to install latest version of PHP and MYSQL (I do not manage / touch office server)Deep
XPerties
Hmmm...Although I never used rackspace I thought they were full management with all servers. If that's not the case their prices are not justified at all.
