Now as i dont want this shortcut on the dektop i move it to the system32 folder and the shortcut keys dont work anymore - is there a workable way around this so the shortcut runs whereevr i place the icon? Thanks
Zxian
I'm not sure if Windows is able to do this by default, but for shortcut keys, I always used the program WinKey. It's small, simple, and doesn't use a lot of resources. It'll do exactly what you want very easily.

Redcloud
Similar problem -I have a program icon in the Notification area of toolbar. This is the only location which launches the program. If I exit (close the icon) and attempt to start the program via a desktop short cut it recreates the toolbar icon. How do I get the desktop to work without routing it to the toolbar ?
