GLO
On my HDD i have 3 partitions, OS, Programs and Data. The problem is when i use my unattended Install CD it seems to always write to the other partitions as it has detected a partition already on Cdrive. How do i ensure it will write to the C: partition? Thanks

what3v3r
if i remember correctly, the setup uses the first partition with enough free space, and no windows installed. im not sure but i think there is no way to change this.you can however use:[Data] AutoPartition=0[unattended] FileSystem=*and choose the partition manually Edited August 5, 2005 by what3v3r
GLO
have u tested ur iso with virtual pc first?and as c drive is always active partion setup will detect it first,by default<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I have used the UA disc plenty of times and it works fine, its just that if i need to re- install and want to keep the existing partitions, it typically writes to the other partitions without any OS already on it.Then when booting back up it gives me a choice of which partition i want to boot from. But as i am not running 2 different OS, i really just need it to re-install over the existing C partition
bmn
then insted of just replacing the installation files, imean before installing xp on already installed partion go for simple format.i think this is only option u have.
