WPI 4.2b

Recommended Posts

There is a problem with this version when you disable the usage of audio during WPI. It is the following line in useroptions.js:

var showmpWPIBtn=false;

When that is false, the JavaScript error message says, "Object doesn't support this property or method"

It gives the path to wpi.hta

Then references line 138 in main.js

What else have you changed because this is not an actual normal error...

There is no problem with disableing the audio player so the error is caused by some other change...

I redownloaded the 4.2 rar from the first page of this thread, modified the line I referenced in useroptions.js

Launched wpi.hta and clicked begin install and got the same error.

I got the same error...

What I did :

- Downloaded wpi 4.2

- unpacked it

- did copy my old config.js over the new one

- opened wpi and changed only :

- Language ? -> German

- Timer Active ? -> No

- Play Audio In WPI = -> No

- Play Audio During Install = -> No

- saved

I´m using German Windows XP SP2 Pro...

I just found a small "workaround" for that problem :

- Change Play Audio In WPI back to Yes

- Removed every line in the .m3u files in the Audio-Dir

Than it works (for me) without any problem... The Audio-Player will be visible in WPI but it won´t play any music ...

It's very nice program and it's OK for me, but I cannot apply different colours to cathegories I want to stress:

cat[pn]=['<font color=#33FF00">06. Office</font&gt]

cat[pn]=['<font color=#DD3300">03. Saugumas</font&gt]; security

Now I have one colour for all cathegories - #103060 (my wallpaper is light).

It seems to be the option for "Play Audio In WPI" that causes the problem when selected to 'No'. I just tested it myself - turned it back on again didn't get the error.

Does anyone know what values in the config files this changes?

Just so you all know, this issue is being addressed. I will take some time to do so as there are new members on the team. "athomsen" is doing a major over hal on the whole thing making it load faster. So once the code has been updated We will begin work on the audioplayer issue, if that is indeed the correct error. (Tryed to reproduce it myself but no luck. sorry) But will look into it after I get the updated code.

Please be pacient we are working hard on it.
