I want to translate Windows 98 Revolutions Pack

Recommended Posts

Hello, i've just tried Windows 98 Revolutions Pack (build 2590) and it's work perfectly on Windows 98 SE + Unofficial SP2.0.1...

But there's just a problem : Windows 98 Revolutions Pack is in english, and i want to translate paths, icons and text... in french (because i'm french B) )

Do i need to disassemble dll ? what kind of tools i must use ? (Hex editor ?).

How can i do to translate it ?

On the Windows 98 Revolutions Pack website i hadn't find any mail to contact the author of this program, i hope he will read my message.

If you know how to translate this please tell me.

I translated them into Spanish.

I used Reshacker, Borland Builder, Exescope.

Some other files you dont need to translate them.

If it´s too long you could Copy&Pate&Compile the text esources from the French to the RP Files and add the strings that don´t appear.

I'm beginner in Win32 programming, i don't know how to use Borland, do you know what files to modify in detail ? and what program to use on them ?

it seems that several dlls are extracted from WinME do you know which ones ?

I will try to contact the man who translated Win98SP2 in french to ask him if he can help me...

Thanx ijelorriaga
