Use all the tools listed in the Malware section of the forums (as well as online scanners).Just a general note about posting, the more information you can give us, the easier it is for us to help. Div5 Posted July 29, 2005 Author Share Posted July 29, 2005 well i ran the programs, and i am free of any sort of malware/spyware/virus etc.i just cant seem to install ANY updates now, they download ok, but they do not install. i dont get any error messages, all i get is "failed to install" then it closes. There should be an error code on the site itself - check under your installation history (not IE history).For SP2 itself, I would recommend downloading the full installation (Link) and running it offline.
