You really don't need to worry that a PSU will not work with a CPU since this depends of the power of the specific PSU and not if the CPU is a Intel or AMD. I checked the definition of ATX on google and found this which should explain ATX pretty wellATX is a very popular specification for a desktop computer's motherboard. ATX improves the motherboard design by taking the small AT motherboard (sometimes known as the "Baby AT") that was an earlier industry standard and rotating by 90 degrees the layout of the microprocessor and expansion slots. This allows space for more full-length add-in cards. A double-height aperture is specified for the rear of the chassis, allowing more possible I/O arrangements for a variety of devices such as TV input and output, LAN connection, and so forth. If you're planning to do a upgrade and perhaps some day have SLI, then this PSU is an excellent choice. You get what you pay for, I can guarantee you that. In fact here in India we don't have any options and I am very happy that I could lay my hands on a Vantec ps and till this time it is working perfectly. He was just missing a "w".It doesnt matter if your board is mATX, because they still use the same power connector on the motherboard as ATX.How many expansion slots (for PCI/AGP cards) does your case have? mATX cases have 4, and ATX cases have 7. The X-Connect has had problems in the past with oversupplying power to components, causing failure at times. BombaTwist Posted July 15, 2005 Author Share Posted July 15, 2005 (edited) hmm, 3 of em are kinda expensive, for me anyways. i dont like that 2nd one since the opening the fan air comes out. i was thinking about getting This Thermaltake, its not that good but at least its decent. i dont really need a very very powerful one at the moment. also it has alot of connectors . im thinking about having my final decision ready by next week on tuesday or wednsday cause then ill have enough money for that ThermalTake, This Case Fan, and This PGI Ram. so if any one knows any better PSUs at around $55 and is decent, please post.
