Kaspersky 5.0.335 Profil Configuration

evils

Recommended Posts

Hi i installed kaspersky 5.0.335 and i modify the configuration after i save the profile on my computer. What i want to do is to unattend the installation (i already have the switch for the unattend install) and auto load the profile to get the good setting at first open :) Anyone know if there is a switch for that ?

Thanks

what profile are you talking about? Your windows useraccount?

I am using Kaspersky Personal and it doesnt work with a profile or anything.

I would like to know how to get the settings right silently (autoupdate every 3 days instead of 3h, perform recommended action instead of asking user for the Realtime and the Manual scan).

Perhaps that is also what you would like to know?

I was wondering that too. I also want to know if there is an option to trick kaspersky to not nag about a full scan, because you don’t have to do that on a clean install imo.

put policy.dat in the same folder as setup.exe, when use /S switch to install, the installer will use the policy.dat for configuration automatically.

policy.dat can be found under %AllUsersProfile%\Application Data\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\5.0\Policy

When i copy my current kaspersky folder in "alluserprofile\aplication data\Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal\5.0", are the virusdefinitions updated as well?

Will test this today, and post my results.

Edit: This works fine... Thanks guys!

Can you tell me how you copied the file?

Its not working here and I believe the file (policy.dat) is locked.

Ill try some things but I really want to know how you did it.
