Hi boooggy, thanks for testing :D

I am glad that it did work :thumbup and I did some testing with RyanVM update pack...

It's very easy to update the script to check if the pack is installed and modify the setup

accordingly....

Anyway the problem seems to be that Ryanvm pack overwrites SYSOC.INF and thus the pack's entries get removed.. Not a big deal to fix really.

I am currently testing with nlite.

I'll probably update it tonight

EDIT: Oh I wanted to ask... What Language did you use?

@Gnome: if you want I can help you with auto-updating the dosnet.inf, txtsetup.sif,svcpack.inf and sysoc.inf files! ;) PM me if you want this to be automated as well.

And... thanks :) No there is no more pressure on me... I had lost the time to do it and was losing the motivation... I'm glad somebody else took the initiative :)

@Bâshrat the Sneaky: Thanks, I sent you a PM

@boooggy: Did you manually add the entries to sysoc.inf & svcpack.inf or just copy the files from the archive..

Because if you added them manually (i.e. below the entry added by RyanVM Pack)

it should work fine.

If it was otherwise it probably won't work...

@Everyone:

IF anyone else uses the slipstreamer for a language other than english please post your findings...

first time when i did it was like this updated manually everything and then slipstream ryanvm's and then nlited. it did not work. second time i slipstreamed ryanvm's, nlited and the use wmp10 slipstreamer. guess what it worked!!!

ps i did edit manually. and also i updated 3 files that m$ updated via patches.

edit:

one problem but i think is not because the slipstreamer, wmp update still says that it needs an update.

GREAT :thumbup Thanks for the info boooggy...

Bâshrat is sending me a script that should make the integration A WHOLE lot easier and i'll also add a script that'll check if some components were removed by nlite (such as the skins or playlists) and remove them from my part of the inf to avoid issues...

Yeah :P probably tonight, if not then tomorrow...

All the manual steps should then be all but gone(they are kinda annoying), and hopefully it'll work alongside Nlite without problems

I posted a cmd file to integrate all hotfixes for xp and for 2k (integrates ie6 too). I have automated the file modding you suggest in your first post.... If you want, check out the file at this link. I'm sure that your files can be easily implemented in my cmd file. Oh yea, if you have all the hotfixes in the folder structure all set up, there is no need for RyanVM's update pack. And yes, it works with Nlite too.

Cheers

When I add the entries to DOSNET.INF, TXTSETUP.SIF and SVCPACK.INF. Does it matter Where below the [section] I place the entries? BEFORE/AFTER the once already there. I have now placed all entries RIGHT BELOW the [section] before the excisting entries. Is this correct?
