Screen turns black after install

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We created a unattended install cd, its working almost perfectly. But when the installation is finished and the pc reboots, the screen turns black just before the logon screen. But we can see the mouse pionter. And when we press alt-f4 or esc (dont know wich 1 is triggering this) the screen returns to normal and we can logon normal. But we are making this CD for someone else so we really have to solve this. Please we need some help.

Disable

%systemdrive%\install\bootscreen.cmd

[shell]

CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\campina.theme"

try again.

let me know if it hangs again.

do not use a custom bootscreen or theme if u dont know what u are doing.

I highly suspect this is the root of your problems.

thats the strange thing it isnt diffrent at all. We made a tuturial our own, so we made a new cd to check out the tutorial, so we rewritten the winnt.sif, exactly the same as the old one. And it worked. But the cd is 40 mb larger then the old 1, so maybe it isnt the winnt.sif. When we find what solved this we will post it.
