Gape
I got the bootlog, thx Gape. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Your Bootlog.txt file looks OK.Other ideas:Try to update all of your drivers (especially mainboard, and sound drivers). Try to install SP 2.0 again.

Gape
Have you tested new MS hotfix? Have you tested my hotfix?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I tested your fix, it works great, but I haven't tested MS's new fix. In fact, I don't like MS's fix. It requires a seperate process to load. Try to install SP 2.0 again.Thx for the advise, Gape. I'll try to update my mthbrd driver.(VIA chips) But my creative sound card 'Live!' no more updated driver. So I assume I need to uninstall 20rc3 first, then I install my mthbed driver. Later to install the 20rc3 is a final step.
Tihiy
You're right. But i've found a lot of bugs in Revolutions Pack 2.9.My hotfix is based on Revolutions Pack 2.5, which does not contains those bugs, but it can contain others. Look if any dummy 0-byte files are located in the root of the drive.(i haven't found any)And remember that semi-slipstream method can fail (windows will load without icons ) without TI...dll. randiroo76073
Did you fix something in DUN, it's working better that it ever has, faster. If not it must be a byproduct of other fixes/updates in 2rc3

creopard
A question concerning the "runpost.bat":if exist %winbootdir%\system\iosubsys\SMARTVSD.VXD goto endwhy should the batch end here, when SMARTVSD.VXD is present?SHELL32.INF or SLEEK.INF and PATCHRE, PATCHNP, q240308-update won't be executed. Is the behaviour really wanted this way?
