cy.
HiI'm trying to help out one of my friends. his winXP won't boot up saying some drivers missing.his winXP was installed using VLK.All I have got is XP retail version slipstreamed with SP2. I tried to put my CD in to see if it will do the repair. it didn't even detect the existing windows and it tried to do fresh installation (which i wouldn't let it to do since mine is retail version. don't want him to activate using my serial.)does the CD have to be corporate version to do the repair? purewaveform
Specifically at what point does it stop loading / which driver? Also can you get into safe mode. Usually with driver problems you can still get into safe mode.

mtvento
Yes, and after that check out what was the last thing your friend did before having the problem, o/c? New Drivers? sw install? and try to revert that last action, may be you could use F( option "last known god"
