Fax Install

Recommended Posts

I have a laptop with a onboard modem, and I want to send a fax using the computer, I used to do that on Windows95 I just had to install Microsoft Exchange Client, It worked kind of like a printer you would make a document send it to print and a pop up dialog would ask you for the number to which you wanted to send. Does anyone know how is it that it is done here on XP?

Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs >> Add or Remove Windows Components

Scroll down the list and put a "check" beside "Fax Services"

Now insert your XP disk for files to be copied.

Now you can either use "Print" function in any app and use the fax feature from there, or you can configure and use it from:

Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Communiucations >> Fax

Works fine now?
