XtremeMaC Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 for "IE can only save images in .bmp"clear your temp internet, it'll be fine afterwards.others i dunno. ow wait u said u did that hmm spyware maybe? also clear your cookies, and delete all offline files, maybe aa what the heck switch to opera
LiquidSage Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 clearing temp internet files is the standard method to fix 'view source' problems as well. (Unless notepad is damaged or missing).Preloaded images are usually related to java. Update java and be sure that your security restrictions are relaxed enough.if all else fails, try to reinstall IE (you need your OS cd to do this)Run--->rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf
Martin Zugec Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Agree, 1.) delete all offline files...2.) run from cmd netsh winsock reset 3.) IE6 is based on WI, so U can call repair to check all keypath objects...Did this help?
sonu27 Posted February 23, 2005 Author Posted February 23, 2005 Like I siad clearing it doen't work.But if I re-install IE6 it will not have SP2.I have remove java.Could that be a problem?
XtremeMaC Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 r u certain that u don't have any virus/spyware?if i were u i'd check for them, u never know thats why they're called spy.
sonu27 Posted February 25, 2005 Author Posted February 25, 2005 I'm 99.9% sure.Don't know why I have to face these computers.
XtremeMaC Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 ok seriously why don't u try opera/firefox till u get your ie problems straight. ow u've switched to ff already, okay good then take out your unattended setup cd out try the "reset web settings" under programs in internet properties & restore defaults on advanced.but what i'd do is, i'd go to my temp folders (ie temp & temp) and delete all the files & disable the system restore, check for viruses and spyware. or hmm i remember seing an option in a tweak program to fix this letme check..ow and use a registry cleaner and check for problems!.
sonu27 Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 OK thanks.I've always disabled System Restore.
