Stuntgp2000 Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 Hi everybody.I've been wondering sometime now about a way of preventing MSN Messenger or Windows Messenger from storing account infos. I hate to see that long list of names when you want to sing in.Is there any registry key or something to do to prevent MSN Messenger from doing that ? Thanks in advance.
Stuntgp2000 Posted February 15, 2005 Author Posted February 15, 2005 here is a GPO solution (Thanks Monkeys4me)1) Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc2) Navigate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options3) Double-click on Network access: Do not allow storage of credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication4) Click Enabled & then OKand here is mine (a registry key)[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]"disabledomaincreds"=dword:00000001
