98EXL
Good morning everyone, I may infact never want to touch a computer again. I have roughly the following PC:Intel 875PBZ MoBoIntel P4 3.0 GHz1 GB Dual Channel DDR RAM80GB Maxtor SATA HDDChaintech GeForce 5700LENow basically what happened was I upgraded my perfectly working system from a Nvidia MX440 to the Chaintech 5700LE card. I went into VGA mode with my MX440, uninstalled the drivers. Then, I reset my AGP Apature on my MoBo from 32MB to 128MB (you know, half of the video cards memory). Installed my new 5700LE, booted into VGA mode, installed the 6.6.9.3 Nvidia drivers, and did not restart my computer (wasn't prompting me to). However, I did anyway, and now after I get the XP boot screen with the scroll bar at the bottom, after that, PC goes black, and is unresponsive.Any ideas? Treeman
Try setting the bios to twice the ram of your adapter, not half.treeman
puntoMX
Looks like an incompatible problem to me or a not good working card, also, why didn’t you go for a nVidia 6600GT card for example? This card can’t work with pixel shader 3.0 and the new games like to use that (Full DirectX 9c).I would take the card back where you bought it .
