kurt476 Posted February 6, 2005 Share Posted February 6, 2005 how do i create cab files so i can compress $OEM$ folder so all the installers, msi installer are compressed down to fit on a 650 MB cd-rw? i can remove some stuff from windows os but i need too slim down $OEM$ Folder.also do i need switchs for the cab files too be extracted?i can overburn the cd if i haft too. but i rather see if i can compress the installers that i have in the $OEM$ folder. moo Posted February 7, 2005 Share Posted February 7, 2005 @kurt476to make cab files you can use something like thisMAKECAB /D CompressionType=LZX /D CompressionMemory=21 /LBut if you want to compress your $OEM$ folder better to use WinRar with selfextraction.I put my ProgramFiles and Systemfiles inside this package and have ~29MB of size.It includes Resourses files with custom themes, wallpapers, system32, Fonts and ~20 Programs which don't need installations.If you interesting how you can do this, I can explain.moo Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
