Enable Dual CPU Support in Server 2003

I have an old proliant 1600 with 300mb ram and dual p2 450's. I was told by a network admin that it is not possible to use dual p2's in server 2003 because of a flaw in the cpu. If this is true, is there any way to bypass this? Thanks in advance.

Here is the answer to my question. If the processor is an x86 Family 6 Model 1 or Model 3 windows server 2003 will only use one cpu. I have a x86 Family 6 Model 5. I'm guessing this means I can use both cpu's? For more information go to: MS Support DB

Thanks to those that helped.

You have to change the HAL to make it work if you can. It may of may not work. If it does not work you will have to reinstall and accept the single CPU HAL.

Basically your hardware is just too old to run a multi CPU HAL. Besides it will run dog slow...
