installation error message

I have longhorn 4074 , when i install it from my hardisk it works fine but when i install it from the boot CD i'm having an error message that says something like I have to be an administrator to use this kind of application, and iam the administrator, what can i do about it i really need help.

I have the same problem on 4083 64bit

after it boots it shows a popup windows on which it reads:

You must be an administrator to run this program

***FIX***

After seeing your post I realized that I installed 4074 from a dvd and 4083 from a cd.

Try burning the image on a dvd it should work (at least it did for me)

Ha ha this is funny, after reading your POST, I too had the same problem the very next day. I had Burned Longhorn Build 4074 on an Overburned 700MB CD. (733MB). But it only happened on my Dad's Soyo MB equipped with an AMD CPU... go figure. (Nothing against AMD). So I had to Burn it to a DVD, then it worked fine.

The Overburned CD worked fine with my Asus MB equipped with an Intel CPU.
