Hi guys, just stumbled across this thread after visiting MSFN for months, and OMG you guys have some SICK looking desktops.

A few q's though.

Where can I find this wallpaper? Ive scoured google and only found crappy gifs of it where the edges on cartman are jagged, and the only colors I can find with him are Green, and Yellow. I know changing the color is dead easy in photoshop but I need a good quality base first.

Firstly, yours is probably the nicest looking desktop i have ever seen, beautiful. Is it AveDesk 1.2 that allows you to have the month scrolling down the sides, the icons and everything?

To anyone who can answer:

1. Where can I find the shinobi themes for windows they look awesome.

2. Can I use XPIZE and AveDesk or is it one or the other?

3. Does AveDesk have a big CPU hit?

Thanks!! I cant wait to get started on my own desktop now lol.

:blushing: i only can say a big THANKS :)

yes it's avedesk. the month plugin you talk about is vertical calendar for sysstats docklet.

here are your replies:

1. http://kei-f.hn.org/AquaKidsStudio/vs_down...hinobi_V2.3.zip (i think this is what you're looking for)

2. XPize has nothing to do with avedesk.

XPize replace system resources so your system icons, bmps and avis now look different.

avedesk creates "desklets", similar to desktop icons but with more features. it also support "docklets" to show your temp, cpu, month and date, weather...

3. yes it has. it hardly depends on the amount of desklets you have. the config you can see on the desktop you linked, took about 17mb of system resources.

you decide if it worths the result :P

Found the IPOD desktops.

A guy called Yayo makes them over at: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=288164&st=0

So far there is a:

Simpsons:

Comic book guy

duff beer guy

Fat tony

Mr Burns

Kang and Kodos

LoveJoy

Martin

Willie

SouthPark

Cartman

Jimmy

Kenny

mackay

Futurama

bender

Family Guy

Stewie

I can send them to anyone who wants them, but you get them all from that forum anyways. Most are gifs but he cleaned a lot of them up so no more jagged edges.

Just a note about AveDesk... I don't know about you SimonSays, but for me, all those resources are lying in pagefile. I've only got about 1MB of RAM taken up by AveDesk.

As for CPU usage, that only goes up if you use the Virtual Console Desklet (look at my latest screenie...)
