Customizing Winrar

can anyone please help with the reshacking of default.sfx for winrar?

I've tried unpacking it with UPX but it informs me that this program was not used to pack it which then stops me from altering the .bmp

any help much appreciated.

use an older/newer version of upx. if you tried 1.25 then use latest beta and viceversa

im going to start a "Customizing winrar" thread to see what cool enhancements ppl have made via res hacking winrar..

i will start off with a screenshot of 1 of my dialogs

Also, if any1 has any nice icons they want to contibute or want to offer to make some i wouldnt mind lol pm me or post here if u do

maybe if xpero sees this he'll contribute too

WinRAR is far from terrible, but I now can't even install it, because of something to do with my new tweaked Windows 2000 SP4 configuration, which removes a lot of bloat.

I dunno which component that was removed is required by WinRAR (or it's installer)?

Obviously a dependency problem, because with a stock Windows 2000 installation that of course has some filler, WinRAR is fine.
