Hi Guys

Can you help me with a problem I have please..

I got "RollerCoaster Tycoon 3" for my 9 year old son for christmass and we can't get it to load onto our computer, the error message we see is as follows...

An error (-5003 : 0x5) has occurred while running the settup

what does this mean ? what can we do to fix it? we havn't tryied the vendor yet, we sent an email but no response as yet. its a brand new game from a suppermarket (not a copy) we have widows XP.

Any help you can offer would be great as my son is very keen to play this game..

Thank you

...Ray...

when troubleshooting a game, u need 2..

update your drivers (ALL, sound,video,lan)

make sure u have latest updates for your OS (for XP u need to get SP2)

that may help?

also, its an old game, try running the game with "application compatability" in xp , set it to 98 :)

what specs are in your computer?

How do I find and display the "specs in my computer" so you can see them?

what do you mean "an old game" its only just become available here in OZ !!

I thought it was new

(but it takes a while for us to catch up to you guys)

also we've had RCT1 & 2 loaded but I recently tried to remove these as we only wanted the "new" game,

have I done something that I should not have done??
