I am creating a Win2K all multiboot CD

I slipstreamed all Win2K with SP4

Now i want all fixes to be installed automatically.

I downloaded the Post SP4 fixes from http://www.pubforum.net/security/w2ksp4/W2...curity_v104.zip [84.47 MB]

It has 2 bats for installing.

Well, the first .BAT file, you can run it from GUIrunOnce.

The second .BAT will need to be scheduled to be run at next reboot after that. how? you can use RunOnceEX registry keys for doing that.

You need to have the commands for making the RunOnceEX registry entries, at the end of the first .BAT file.

some info

Thanks prathapml for helping me last time

Now i am faceing new problem.

While testing the CD in Virtual PC, if i don't select any HDD or use unormatted HDD, setup starts with a flash of warning

Couldn't open the boot partition to check for a signature

And if i use a formatted HDD / HDD with other Win OS installed, the setup don't even start. It hangs at the BCDW2 screen only.

What can be the solution ?

I googled it to some MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;227704

but this is a Virtual PC so such problems shouldn't come.

Also why is the prompt coming now and systems hungs while individual Win2K CD (without BCDW2, original boot sector) works perfect?

Hello all

Just reading the thread and running into the same problem as Aadipa was getting the 2nd batch file to run.. i have converted the 2nd to the RunonceEX command structure using RunOnceEx.cmd Creator. i added in the Command line at the end of the 1st batchfile to excute the Runonceex cmd and it's still not working correctly..

Any suggestion on what needs to be changed or what i'm missing here?

The 1st Batchfile with the RunonceEx command at the end.

I don't know anything about the RunOnceEX way of doing things, but I do know that if you want people to help you, you need to show them what you are doing!

Post everything relating to what you are trying to do, and make sure you tell us what they are (RunOnce.bat for example) and that you surround the code in QUOTE tags.

After you do that, people will be more than willing to try and help you.

RunOnceEx method solved my problem.

The list of fix i got was for 2000 Server so some of the fix gave error while installing on prof version.

I think removeing that entry from prof's RunOnceEx will do the job for me for my cd to be perfect.
