nice stuff!

BUT!

save your cash, just buy two WIFI cards for what... $70 bux each? and make a very simple antena with some coax cable from a hardware store.. or maplin.

dont take my word for it, research it, i might be a bit off, but im sure im not:

Grr....almost 5 hours...and they JUST WON'T WORK

Anyone got experience with Microsoft Wireless Networking?

Heres the problem...wireless sux...i set up a small netowrk at my friends house and the s*** wouldent go thru the walls...i have to be in the same room or **** near line of sight of the rotuer, for the signal to recive...i have a bit of netowrk experience but im pretty limited, i actully in a network jame myself..but NOONES ANSWERD MY QUESTION..bastards...

Drew- that would depend on the walls and also, line of site would suggest that the transmitter isnt omnidirectional.

geforce... sorry bud no experiance, i did say read up on it, could have saved you some cash for equipment and also you would have an idea on what to do.

Banetrrp is the wireless networker round here.

but for starters... take the router out of the equiation for now, it will just complicate matters (as routers always do lol)

I can probably help - but need more info. Were the computers in a network before? Are they all part of same workgroup? Did you set them to get their IP address automatically? From what I have read, if you already had a network - the MS wizard that comes with the software is kind of screwy. But if no previous network, then should be easy as ABC.
