Hey guys...

yesterday i read a tutorial for creating an unattended installation CD für Windows XP. I did everything described in tutorial. When i executed the XPCREATE.CMD the following message appears:

Error: "8.3 File name support not enabled."

Press Enter to Exit

What is wrong?

Welcome to MSFN, [VII] !

Somehow, most likely through a registry setting, you have disabled 8.3 file name creation. This is often done to "speed up" disk access. However, XPCREATE needs it. I forget the registry setting, but it is something that YOU have done, as Windows allows 8.3 file name creation by default.
