qafyg
Can anyone confirm if patch language really matters? I'm running both french and english workstation here and I've been downloading french patches for my french workstation and english patches for my english workstations.Do I really have to do that or could I just install english patches on both OS? John456
How do I know which hotfixes are included in my XP cd and which are not? It is labeled as Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.Would it do any harm if I slipstream a hotfix which is already in the installation? Sonic
Genuine Microsoft CD is SP2 only, no hotfixes integrated. If it's OEM CD, check if svcpack folder exist and if files are present inside there are hotfixes ...You can splitstream post-sp2 hotfixes over an existing sp2 (with hotfixes too) splitstreamed CD ... John456
Yep there is such a folder, it contains 2 hotfixes. I'll just download all post SP2 hotfixes and add them to my UA CD using nLite.

hj_fr
For the Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-061, which version must be installed with a standard windows XP SP2 (Microsoft XML Parser 2.6 patch ? or others).
Sonic
For the Microsoft Security Bulletin MS06-061, which version must be installed with a standard windows XP SP2 (Microsoft XML Parser 2.6 patch ? or others). You just need the Microsoft XML Parser 2.6 (KB924191).Others are for other Core Services which aren't present on fresh windows xp sp2 by default.
