HOTFIXES: Windows XP SP2 & Windows 2000 SP4

Recommended Posts

You can also look through your WindowsUpdate.log file (in the Windows directory) to find download links, sometimes...that's how I found the link for the newest KB905474. Then, just install the downloaded file via svcpack using /q /n /z. (Rename it something a little more manageable first.)

However, this didn't work for the newest version of KB892130.

Anyone have a list of the XPSP2 updates that were outdated by yesterdays updates?

Here's what my research of the security bulletins showed:

KB914389 replaces KB885250.

KB916281 replaces KB912812.

KB917953 replaces KB913446.

KB917734 for WMP replaces KB911565 for WMP.

KB917344, KB918439, and KB911280 are new for XP SP2.

And, of course, KB890830 is updated, to version 1.17.

I haven't verified the replacements through a clean install, though.
