HOTFIXES: Windows XP SP2 & Windows 2000 SP4

Recommended Posts

You have differents patchs for windows ...

You can make/get a pack with just the critical hotfixes listed on Windows Update .... (about 30+ hotfixes)

RyanVM make another pack with others patchs (but not for the critical security), and after you can see different size of these packs because the compression/re-packaging is not the same for the creators ...

For me I prefer get patch one by one on Microsoft.com , and I have a batch to install all the hotfixes ... (I use this solution beacause I use French version of Windows xp ....)

Goodbye.

sonic, this is what I have made, but some hotfixes are not in others packages or have been replaced, so I have to look closer for changes. I will make an update pack in brazilian portuguese just with the shown on windows update, but I need some space on web, to share with all others guys who wants this.

can someone help with a host, preference free?

Can someone please make a clear post of wich Hotfixes have been replaced!?

Thanks all!

The thing is that I get the list from Windows Update on a clean install under simulation... so if the hotfixes are showing up on Windows Update, I keep them on the list... no matter what.

Mark them as unnecesary with a symbol like "-", so keep listed as "remove at your own risk".

Another approach: Make a list of superseded hotfix like RyanVM one in his site.

Well, is that for Windows XP SP2? Cause I read the bulletins on the hotfixes, and dont remember seeing something like:

New

KB902400

Replaces

KB893333, KB894391

Like I said on my previous post, 902400 replaces 873333. And only 87333 - for SP2
