HOTFIXES: Windows XP SP2 & Windows 2000 SP4

Recommended Posts

the updates on wu are only critical for windows....so that's why not all from here appear on wu. the others just update files form windows or just add registry entries  but they are not critical.

@sonic

as for windows messenger not to show up on your wu page go expand it and see that it has an option there that says: Don't show this update again. that is it....

Yes, it's the solution, but how can I do this silently :unsure: ?

Thanks.

Seems to work with other languages too (tested on dutch version)

It does not add an entry in the registry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\

Still have to find out where it does (I use a script to install hotfixes)

think this reg key has to do with wga, from another thread. however, maybe it's irrelevant but i like the consequences of this one.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{17492023-C23A-453E-A040-C7C580BBF700}]
