Is this "by design" or simply forgotten?Unfortunately Microsoft claims this update can only be downloaded through their download center if you are using Windows 2000 SP2 or SP3 and that the rest of their customers has to use their great Windowsupdate site. I go to Windows Update and get the list of update from there. If Microsoft themself are not giving an accurate update list, I wonder who can... Anyway, the goal is always the same: get all the critical updates integrated into our unattended project. I think my method is the fastest and easy for me to maintain.2) About Media Player, It would be too much trouble listing all the exceptions for IE6, Media Player and DirectX if you choose NOT to upgrade theses. KB832353: Windows Media Player (All Versions) for Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Server 2003 (Conjuction with KB828026)2.
