shaddam
i think a software cpucooler which sets on idle the cpu to sleep is needed for win98sehere the one i'm using now for years without problems....pros: very small filesize (66kbyte), very small memory needs http://www.kt2k.com/downloads.php?file=7is an better taskmanager included?here an small (but not well tested) alternative(pro: priority managment , small cons: not very stylish )http://users.otenet.gr/~gtoub/projects/

shaddam
I found better taskmanagerhttp://www.coolbeans.ws/sysinfo.shtmlok ... your taskmanager is much more stylish and has more functions....but mine is only 18kbyte and yours around 2000kbyte, an argument? erpdude8
Coolkill is even better. You can easily close problem apps with Coolkill than any other 3rd party task manager. And it uses few resources unlike those other task managers. Get Coolkill here:http://www.prowebsitemanagement.com/cooltools/coolkill.htmlMdgx recommended that tool for me to use.And about the hanging problem when deleting a very large number of files with W98/ME + IE6.x. Get 2xExplorer from this site:http://www.netez.com/2xExplorer/and use its file/folder shredding feature to 'shred' files and folders. It deletes files a lot faster than Windows Explorer. You can also try out xplorer², the successor to 2xExplorer.
krick
When the 2.0 service pack goes final, will there be documentation that spells out exactly what each of the fixes are and what they do?I'd like to know exactly what is being changed in case I have problems and need to troubleshoot and fix something. azagahl
"And about the hanging problem when deleting a very large number of files with W98/ME + IE6.x"FYI this can be avoided by using IE 5.5 DLL's (BROWSEUI.DLL 815376 bytes and BROWSELC.DLL 35328 bytes, both version 5.50.4807.2300). soldier1st
but i don't think we wanna use ie 5.5 just for that.maybe include it and replace the current one.
