lokomitso Posted October 24, 2004 Share Posted October 24, 2004 Hi I hope that you can solve my problem with SP2.I recently received my SP2 CD from Microsoft but I am unable to install it, because I used a "Prerelease Version of Service Pack 2".Is there any way to force the installation of SP2 final?Thank you.P.S. damcck Posted October 25, 2004 Share Posted October 25, 2004 its easy i run into this all the time from RC1 and RC2,regeditlocal machinesystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrolwindowschange CSDVersion to 100then SP2 thinks sp1 is installed, never ran into a problem with this, must have done it on 2 dozen pcs of differnt configs.
